On Nov. 10 the group raising money to restore the Vulcan that sat derelict by the CNJ station in Wilkes-Barre will having an event at Barnes & Nobel in downtown Wilkes-Barre. It'll run from 10-1 or so and is geared for families with a name the engine contest, a story hour, and more importantly for those of us without small children, sale of Vulcan t-shirts featuring the logo with Vulcan and the hammer. Shirts are $10 with the proceeds going to help the restoration effort. Modular trains are going to be set up somewhere in the area but this has not been announced or confirmed yet.

In case I can’t make it, can the T-shirts be ordered online, by mail, phone, etc?

Not sure Mike. I should be going up there Friday and will try to find out. I got you one already based on our conversation at the GSC in Asbury.

I think they cleared something like $6 per shirt. Not all that much but it'll help. Pre-day sales were pretty good. Should help publicity too.
