Yeah, those pictures are great. Interesting to see the caves have signs and so forth.

I'd love to see inside of that Salt mine. That is such a tall vein, it is amazing watching you stand in the opening...

Yeah I explored a little bit of it. The water level was high and ice everywhere. I didn't have waders or mucks but I have a few good pics and they are coming soon. Dewey went in with me but we couldn't stay long. The cars were parked on the shoulder or the highway. You could see the Mine from the highway an it was pretty nuts running across the median to get over to where it was. I'm glad that you guys liked the pictures :D

Too bad it has water in it. How far could you go before hitting the water level?

Sorry it took me so long with the balance of the pictures. You couldn't access much of the mine because it wasn't safe with deep icy water and ice falling from the rock ceiling. With not having the muck boots or waders it was a rather quick mission.

Some nice pictures.. That thing is huge inside. Maybe you will have better luck the next time you go down there if there is no ice, or it is a dryer season..

This mine certainly has a unique appearance amongst the mines featured on the site. Thanks for posting the pics to illustrate a different type of mine. They look great!

Thanks for the praise Mike! I will visit again and I have much more to discover within the caves of WV. Later this spring/summer I'm going to check out more caves with Z and TR. Next stop is somewhere out in Pa. Only the Z knows......
