Thanks to our friend and IronMiner Miner Dan, he has alerted us to the unusually low water level inside of the Hoit Mine. We made a special trip out there on Sunday to document the mine at these low levels. Here are a few teaser shots that I took. The rest will be displayed in the future Hoit Mine Slide Show..

In layout, this mine is a lot like Bull Mine. This mine is rare because it only has about at 30 degree dip as apposed to near vertical dips seen in other mines. And thus the different laying of the mine. There is also documented information on an Anticline that was known to be there and probably is the reason for this dip in the mine. I have reason to believe that the anticline is probably accessible through the adit entrance of the mine which doesn't appear to connect to this section of the mine.
