yea, all you gotta do is take the door brackets off and flip them around. ill try to dig up a pic and show ya one in place. im sure 3 or 4 guys can put it in the back of say an F350. banks' dad has one and when its done if ya want we can remove it from your yard for a trip down the rails at the facility. you know, now that youre checked out on the motor and everything

Im not sure my grandfather got it....Its 100 feet long and just a big arch, the only difference is from the original hanger is the door is not as wide..
edit:dump door and closed end almost done today, have to make up some supports for the end, and the hinges for the dump door need to be bent, the wood is all cut. All thats left is cut some bumpers to fit..

Update, I just came across some rail up near the mine fire in olyphant about 30 feet, gunna put some rail under the car, its almost ready for its move into the front yard. Sealer is going on tomorrow so the wood will last a little longer out in the weather. I do have a question though does anyone know where i can get some big pieces of coal near Scranton pa not the kind you would normally buy, to fill the car?

yea we were working on that. we could probably get you enough mine run coal from the mine mike a. and i work at to fill it. maybe around 75 bucks or so. also, i got some wheels for ya, i just have to go get them but i did find a set that will fit the car nicely.

Nice where did you find the wheels at? I was going to go down in the one mine in off rout 6 to see if the wheels on the couple cars would fit, i was desprate haha. I could always put like a false bottom on the inside of the car so it wouldnt take as much coal to fill it... Also is there differnt sized rails the one i just got seems to be the regular railroad size but i didnt mesure it or anyrhing...

the false bottom idea is good, and it would be real easy with that car since it has those tapered sides. just let it sit on those and you would be set. the wheels are coming from a guy i know, they will need a sandblasting but they are new, never used but rusty. as for the rail, if you only need a few feet to set the car on i can help you out with that. we have some short pieces that would work for that. mine rail is alot smaller than rr track. its measured in pounds per yard. so mine rail is usually 30-40 pound rail. that means every 3 feet weighs 30-40 pounds. rr rail is 100-150 pound rail. its alot bigger.
