I know I can see them as they are mine, but I don't know if webshots allow remote hosting. Can you let me know if you can see the pictures, or if I need to host them on another site. Thanks...

Also is there an interest with open pit mining??? I only have a few scanned of the hundred or so pictures I took back in the early 90's.

Here's a kind of current picture from last year of the Wadesville Stripping, new home of the Marion 7800 RAC#535
Image

I know picture trail allows remote hosting, so this 1 I know will be displayed.

Hey Kenny,

I think you may have to change hosting servers because they're not coming up...

I think Chris has some good current (last year) photos from wadesville. It would be interesting to compare the pit then to the pit now... over 10 years later.

Webshots allows remote hosting. Go to the webshots page with the photo, use the “link to this pictureâ€

Kenny, I had no idea how the big draglines moved from place to place-from your picture I see that they take steps. Thanks for posting that!

John

Its funny that thats at wadesville... what a difference 10 years can make! I guess a little more than that now. I like that shovel on tracks... what do you call that thing?

It's a excavator, maker is Demag, and has a clam bucket. The 1 I have pictured is diesel powered. They currently have a electric powered demag, and much bigger dumps. The CAT assembly site is now the pit.

Sweet Deal... I bet the electric one is cool. Is is Diesel Electric or do they have a cable running to it?

Cable running to it. I'm to go for a ride this weekend. I'll try and get a few shots of it.

Kenny, have any more of the Locust Summit breaker? I sooooo wanted to see that place after seeing pictures of it a couple of years ago...of course it was gone. Back when it was still standing I didn't have a car or a drivers license :(

i just saw that Cat 785B in the strippings near Heckscherville the other day... unless it was a different one of the same model. Those are cool machines.
