what a great day this was! i hear they jumped over their all time record by 3 times the people in the mine! mike a. should have more on this but we had a good timber setting demonstration and we ran a few tours in the mine as well as discussing with the public all the equipment we work on down there and winter maintenance in the mine.

I think we broke the record by about 11:30! It really was a excellent day down there thats for sure. I started giving tours at 10:00 and didn't stop untill 4:00. I think the last tour came out after 6 sometime. The mine motor earned it's keep yesterday, tours were basically non stop. We allready started planning for next years festival 8)

I was only able to stop by for an hour and a half, but had a great time! There were an impressive number of displays and coal region vendors. Here are my photos from the day:
