Larry, i've heard of this one before... the name sticks to the mind! Never knew there was anything left though... ! cool !

What town was that in / near? i don't remember other than it was the middle field i think...

If its the Alaska Im thinking of and mabee its not, it might be in locust gap, northumberland county, where the mount carmel industrial park is now. This has been on my to do list for a while but i havent gotten arround to it. Is there anything of interest left there?

well there you go... it was owned by the Philadelphia and Reading Coal and Iron Co.... now Reading Anthracite

The Alaska would have been somewhere around the Cardinal Container/ International Paper plant, the cemmie right next door is known as the Mount Carmel (Alaska) cemmie. I always wandered if that hugh pit of water on the left side of 901 was part of it.
