Does anyone have any knowledge or interest about infiltration and control of the Scranton-Pittston La Cosa Nostra in the anthracite industry and in UMWA locals and regional offices covering the anthracite region? I am researching Mafia infiltration and control of the anthracite industry prior to WWII.

As part of my research I am trying to understand the genealogy of the families of principal Scranton-Pittston Mafia members prior to WWII, in particular the families of Santo A. Volpe, Charles C. Bufalino, Stefano J. LaTorre, Angelo Polizzi, Rosario (Russell) Bufalino, John Sciandra, and Joseph Barbara. Does anybody know the genealogies of any of these families?
