Im probably going to try to go to Windber this weekend ( before i get my cast and cant go hiking). I was windering if anyone knew of any cool mine sites and where they are. Ive been to the Eureka 40but no wehre else around there. Thanks-sam

We have been to several sites in that area but times have changed & mines have bought a few of them up now. Several have also been reclaimed.

I had locations but I bet we got rid of the topo-s. Rosebud just opened a BIG mine at the former Bethlehem Steel mine. We were there before security & the completion of the new Prep plant. The smaller mines that we visited have all been reclaimed :(

I've heard about Rosebud.. only of our anthracite inspectors had a hat on from rosebud.
