well just park at the boring side and walk through... so that way if somebody says something at the other side just say" well there was no signs on the other side and i parked there" so they will have no choice but to let you back through. and while your at the cool side take pictures!

Your thinking is real scarry :shock:

I can't speak for this tunnel. But remember that most railroad tunnels were built for trains that were smaller that what we typically run today. So rarely is there room to spare. And there is always the risk of something hanging loose.


And even considering if the fines for tresspassing vs the fun to be had. That is pushing it.

Worse case rule.

If you must enter a tunnel. Do not go farther in than you can get out when you see the train coming. On at straight track that may be a good ways. On tangent it may be very short.

yea the problem with that tunnel is both ends are approached by a curve so you wont know the train is entering until its too late, then good luck. as for the fines we shouldnt have to explain that but they would be relativly steep.

thats pretty cool- i have seen topos that show a switch right outside the east portal, was there one there? also are there any mining remnants near the tunnel?

just drove by today. id stay away from there for awhile, it appears the r&n isnt happy with people around there lately. there is bright orange posted signs all over the place on almost every tree. dont get caught there............

well we saw them on the road on the east side. doesnt matter though, id stay away unless you dont mind the tresspassing fine at the least if you get caught.
