I don't have a quad yet, one of my future purchases, but a friend of mine wants to ride along the Lackawanna Cutoff... He's from central Jersey and thus doesn't know the riding area at all up in northern Jersey.

Can anyone recommend a good place to park and unload to get onto the Lackawanna Cutoff? I have heard suggestions of parking at the Pathmark in Landing, but he doesn't feel comfortable parking there.. I've only walked the viaducts, so I was trying to suggest a good place to park so that he can ride the whole way into PA. Any suggestions would be great!

When is he going? I ride the cut off several times a year after the leaves\brush are gone. I may be going again on the 13th. We are planning to ride to the bar in PA and back. Already went to Blairstown and back this year to check if trees are down. There are a few but you can ride around them. I have parked at the supermarket several times but usually park in the woods off of county route 605 north of the bus company. You have to cross the road and follow some power lines down to the track bed and from there, you miss the first 3 miles or so. There are always several other vehicles parked there on weekends and no one gets bothered. I could give better directions if he needs them, shoot me a pm.

Did you end up riding there this year? How was the trip?

How are the quads on fuel with a trip like this?
