Pretty good battery life and your not fully loaded with batteries yet. You still have room for some more. How many batteries do you think you would be able to fit if you had to?

One question though, are your batteries permanmently attached because of your new welder?

im only going to put 8 of these in. im giving the others to the ohio boys for their locomotives from sterling. 4 more would fit, actually if i had to i could fit another 8, but i dont need that many. these will work just fine. as for the welder, it was only temporary.

yea now that you are going to be home we have alot of work to do to get more rail down and get the motor going. one or 2 good days on the motor after work or one good weekend day and we will be set. as for the rail, i wouldnt mind working on it a few days a week, after i move next week. if you guys have time. it will be cool to have a crew there. adam, banks, mike a, and i, i bet we can get alot accomplished. i should have more ties for the switch ready next weekend. and joiner plates when ever we need them.

got some good progress made tonight. mike a. got the new handles on the battery box lids which looks 10 times better and they work nicely. i got the batteries strapped down to the wood and the wooden trays bolted down to the battery box, now they wont fly all over the place in there! banksey ol boy got the other head light operational. we fired her up again and everything works smoothly. now all we need are some small tasks to accomplish and she is ready for the rail. it was funny watching mike a. patiently drill 32 holes in the cover plates to bolt the handles down!

32 holes, all where they should be, and no broken bits, that must be some kind of record.! With the lights operational and all the lids on it the motor looks about ready for the rails again.

Progress is great but now only if we could just get your rails shining again (almost 20 days away).
