Read an article in Mondays Scranton Times. It appears two women had to be hospitalized after there toboggan careened off the path and fell 30 feet into a " "sinkhole:". The article was not that specific. But Im wondering was it a mine subsidence ? Anyone hear any details ?

Well Sinkhole may be a generic term. But, I suspect you are right.

In Indiana a sinkhole is connected to karst geology in the limestone regions, when a cave collaspes.

So it is Cave Subsidence vs Mine Sub. . Natural vs Man-made.
