I am not going to even piss my time away with this one. I have learned that this forum is Anthracite only in Chris's eyes. Have at it all:!:

Even though Anthracite coal makes up only 1% or less of the nations coal production (most shipped to Canada anyway) & he still has not been to a working Bituminous mine so how in the hell can you BASH on bituminous coal when you haven't been in one :?:

Chris is beginning to lose the original intention of this site. It was created for the historic aspect of mining & preservation of mine sites across the country as well as international mines. Thats what we still do here in Ohio and thats why we are on here.

yea we wouldnt want to get off topic........

ok, to stay on topic,

jt, i know kimmels either is, or will be hiring in the real direct future. they are gearing up to start again and this time it should work. harmony has still not found a suitable replacement for banks in the slope, so you can go ask there. any small independent mine, your best bet is to go to one and ask they dont advertise. thats what we did. just go show up at a few and talk with the guys.

Well i'm not exactly a fan of a bitty mine or so much a fan of low coal anthracite, reason i say that is i'm way over 4 foot tall and i'm not a big believer in roof bolts. I say that because i've never really had any experience with them, now when you're talking timber, that's roof control.
