is there anything at all left to see wherew the locust summit was? also i was wondering what else is in that same general area. thnking of starting at the mahanoy plane and finisging up near shamokin, so looking for stuff to do along that route. ditched the northern field plan because other than the huber i cant find anything else to see.

Gilberton Coal is stripping around the old Locust summit site.There was not too much to see as they tore down all the structures a while ago. I think there are pictures posted here from someone who lives nearby.

that is unless you are looking to photograph big box stores, check out a vacant lot or two, solicit a prostitute, get your car broken into by a heroin addict or mabee score some crack, you are better off in the middle and southern field if you want to see anything old school coal related

Actually Scranton isnt bad, Wilkes barre is a slum, I think its time to sell and move, mahanoy city suddenly doesnt look too bad

alrighty sounds like a plan, what would you recomend seeing in the middle field? or southern field too really, whatever you think is most interesting is what id like to see
