i like how they're using a 6 foot steel to drill a couple holes to mount a plaque.... :roll: :lol: .. i kindof wonder if it was for a better photo.

Then again maybe no one had a DeWalt hammer drill and a 1/4" bit in their back pocket for the job.

A very exciting project though. While they aren't doing any additional mining, the thoughts of reopening and dewatering the mine to make other uses out of it. I guess given the times today, it is still surprising they were able to secure the funding in order to both dewater it and build the underground labs. A lot of money is going into this project. They also, from reading other articles, seem hopeful in getting the funding to dewater it down to the 8000 foot level. That is very interesting..
