Hunter's Tunnel aka Preston No 4 Colliery.

The only thing I know of left of there is the fan house.

Which is really hard to find, the roof has moss growing on it and it looks just like a boulder with moss on it.
There is some type of foundation along the RR tracks and right above them.
In the winter you can make out stuff on that side of the mountain from the High Road.
When we went threre we went down from the top side.

Try looking on google maps or bing maps

Go to bing maps, type in Girardville, Pa
when that comes up, pick birdseye view
when that changes over- look for Homesville Road
Then look for a couple of houses on the bottom side of the map, then
also look to the right (you will see a bridge with sulfer water)
Rotate the map, 2 clicks, now you will be able to see the RR tracks.
With all the leaves on the trees right now, you can't see much.
But it is located up in the hill behind these couple of houses.
Hope this helps.

The Lawrence colly drift, is that the bat cave one? Out by the Mahanoy Plane?

Let me know when you want to do the Hunters Tunnel, I want to get a pic of the items along the tracks, A relly was killed there back in the 1870's and I want to get a pic of the general area of where it happened. They live in Australia

So I do want to take a trip out there.
