Do coal mine maps filed with the goverment include track?

Is there mine track maps available of underground coal mine rail systems?

It would depend on the detail the mine put into the orginal drawings. In my limited experience I have not seen tracks marked on the maps I have looked at. Then again I'm not sure the mines I looked at even used rail.

It does not look like Illinois is posting the old maps at this time. But here is what they are posting:

Indiana does post old maps:

But you will have to find the mine then click on the "I" button for information and click on the mine. It will bring up an image link.

usually no, haulage ways are designated and if you know what youre looking at you know where the track is. i have never seen actual rail depicted on a working map. i have seen a few haulage maps from old colleries where they were making some rail modifications but they were just small section blueprints not an entire mine layout.

Our Bituminous maps have the rail lines on them. The bigger mines that is. The smaller mines have them hand written. The government maps I have seen some have them & some do not. The maps are always changing with advancing sections & sections that have been mined out of course. For the most part the main haulage lines have usually stayed the same during the mines operation.
