IronMiners now features its first Connecticut mine, Lane's Mine. It is a cozy little mine nestled in the rolling New England hills but still a worthy addition to the site. Try not to get lost in Lane's Mine and enjoy the brief show...

Great slide show!

HOWEVER...

Heed Mikes warning... dont get lost exploring lanes mine as I once did long ago... unravel a ball of string if you must,,, or you too will learn to embrace fear as you aimlessly wander an underworld in the company of malevolent winged creatures...unforeseen dangers surrounding you.... but not until your wheat lamp finally flickers out will you truly understand your lingering hopelessness deep underground.

Excellent dude excellent! I was wondering about where the pictures went for this slide show. The adit shot came out great with all of us holding our hats! Nice work!

Where is the creepy video that we recorded over there?

We ough to get our photographer in more shots, he's a really cool guy. He's the one with a cornish accent, bushy moustache and a pipe.

Even though it isn't the largest mine, it still makes for an interesting slide show.

It may be small, but it's certainly an interesting place! I've got several fairly decent Native Bismuth pieces from there. If you find a quartz-rich area of the wall, chisel some out, and break it up,m looking for thin coatings of a white-silvery mineral. That is the native bismuth. Occasionally, you may even get crystals of it in voids in the quartz!
