Keep watching ebay I guess. I surfed the web for a short time, found some here and there from $120 on up to two-fiddy. I'm lucky enough to have a friend who is an electrical engineer, I'm going to have him make me an automatic charger. If it works out OK I'll let you know.

Almost all these Koehlers are being phased out quickly. I am sure they will be showing up on ebay often. Good Lights & good deal for sure. Almost all the bitty mines used the slide type on the charging racks. We got lucky and cleaned out several mines so got plenty of parts except bulbs.

Are they phasing out Koehler lamps or the lead-acid batteries in favor of Lithium-Ion used on the Koehlers?

I might be a little late here....

looks like he can ship up to about 15 lamps internationally for $48.

I'm interested in 2+.

Anybody interested in getting together to buy a bunch? it'll save us on shipping.

Ya, crap John. Didn't think about that. We're all so scattered around I didn't even think of getting a group discout. He's offering one guy five bucks off each light if he orders 20 or more, plus the shipping would be cheaper. Probably could have had them shipped to the 9 or something, or Chris' house and saddle him with re-distribution without asking him first. :)

Already got mine on the way. Oh well, maybe someone will post up a crap-ton of chargers and we can get those as a lot!

That's not likely to happen.

The only folks using the single charges are 'coon hunters and mine researchers.

Mines have dozens to hundreds of lamps and use rack chargers. Say one charges for 20 lamps.

In the words of my father, "I can build a battery charger for anything". I'm sold, haha.

Will warn you though, I ordered Feb 3 and received a shipping notice tonight. 5 days to ship out is a little slow. I'll keep you posted on the testing when they arrive.

Correct they are transitioning to Lithium-Ion batteries on the Koehlers. Cutting the weight way down makes a big difference. The new Koehlers are still used mines throughout the world. Very good lights.

Does he still have more for sale? I was considering getting a "permissible" rated lamp.. EBay auction is over... Who ever ordered some, let us know when they come in..

Yes, he's back up. Looks like he's selling them with time limits on the auction, possibly because that's how ebay works for most things. I never sold anything on there so I don't know. But if the auction expires again and he has some left (he had 275 of them or something, and sold about 50 so far) just copy the headline of the auction (the item name) into the advanced search box on top and paste it there, it will find it again for you.

I ordered two, and got a shipping notice as well on Monday. I'll post up their condition when I get them.

Received my two today. Complete and functioning, both have a charge in the battery. I will manufacture a charging base later this week and a charger. For my knowledge, a good battery with a full charge will last how long with the lamp on constantly?
