Yeah Eric Like I said in the pm I sent you, the shaft I found is behind the ice cave.... If you come in the same way that I do its the trail that branches off to the right at the tee intersection... If you stand at the tee and look you can see the green fence around the ice cave. if you turn to the right its down that trail a bit...

Great pic of a pic.

I think I need to help you scan your photos so they can be uploaded. If the #10 still exists, we better find it soon, those DEP guy's are busy making bat cages and worst.

Like I said Before, We were looking for a brush fire out there, and we were taking random trails... Just proof of what you can stumble upon out here. 8)

Ok guys I just got back from my adventure out behind St Adalbert's Cemetery in Newport Twp. I got a few Pictures.. a few of the Mine slope, and a few of some sort of concrete remains of which I dont know. I also found out that you can also access this area Via the Green Loop of the Mocanaqua Loop Trail. (I wonder if its illegal to drive a car on these trails? OOPS!!) I also took a picture of the Ice Cave, which is near by and already been posted on here. On a sad note for all you Jeep lovers, I ended up rescuing a Jeep Cherokee out of a small mud hole... This guy's pride must be a little hurt since a Subaru Outback pulled him out..

Ill give some advice...this site is browsed by " big brother" occasionally. We learned that lesson long ago the hard way. Besides the fact the some people without the knowledge of the dangers will take it upon themselves to do some exploring, and end up doing what DEP said they would do...die in the process.
