Greg I am sorry but I bet you our trucks on a daily basis out work any of the Dodges I have seen. The best part in West Virginia the cummins support trucks are Ford Super Duty trucks case closed.

We woke him up finally. Here is the problem with most of the Dodge guys they turn it up but never actually use the trucks for what they are intended for WORK!! No peanut truck pulls do not classify as work.

That I have to back you up on. We USED to have chevy work trucks let see 180,000 miles on them (2 engines & 5 transmisions). Proven that it could not hold uop to our work load.

something els i find funny is that there are sites and companys devoted to putting cummins motors in fords and chevys and companys that put duramaxes in dodges and fords but nobody puts powerstrokes anywhere but the junk yard

O.K. we have discussed this before CUMMINS is a great motor just the damn truck around the engine sucks. Ford is a consistant work truck hands down from mining, construction & my demolition friend that is harder on trucks than we are.

I don't know where to begin, but when it comes down to pickup trucks, there is no comparison. Whether you want a work horse (Cummins Diesel) to pull your trailer with, or if you want a 500 horse factory race truck which will both pull your ford and run circles around it down a race track, you really don't have many choices when it comes to a powerful pickup truck. Do a little work to the truck and you sure have a screamer.

Well I hate to break the bad news to all of us but DURAMAX is kicking all our asses.

I bet the frame still sucks.

O.K. the results are in.

Something very intersting i found is that the only trucks tough enough to be rated by MSHA for use in underground coal and metal mines are dodge trucks with cummins diesels. http://www.everytime.cummins.com/every/ ... ease81.jsp

And I think we all will agree underground mines are the roughest enviroments a truck could be used in. Miners constantly abuse their equipment, overload it, and dont always service it like they should so they need dependable, tough trucks. Theire Lives may depend on it.

Good find. I guess that pretty much says it all when it comes to a tough harsh work environment..
