No you can use gator clips to charge it. If it has a PTO then you can get a PTO for a joy miner and wire it up and charge it that way.

That PTO is used to power up the Remote control for the miner. I would say the loader is deck operated. So probably nothing.

You could pick up an old style twist head on e-bay. I just went down to check my charger and on the twist type the center "key" is the negative terminal and the bottom locking slide is the positve terminal. Without the proper head you could take off the battery top where the wires connect to the terminals and charge it with a set of alligator clips. Hope this helped.

We've talked about this a time or two in the past. If you have the electrical skill to go inside and tap in an alligator clip, you can buy the parts for the slide connector and replace the twist-on.

The parts are about $15.

If you are real careful., it is possible to wire a charger with both types.

If you add another level of care.... I have charged two lights at a time.

I've used paper clips inside of the slide connector, but that obviously isn't a sound way to charge them.

Where have you seen the slide charging connector for $15?

Greg,

I maybe low on the price. It's been a couple of years since I bought mine.
