so mike a. found a listing in the paper shop for a 10 ton mine motor. it said its in honesdale. i knew exactly which one it was. i tried to get this off this guy 5 years ago but he wouldnt part with it. gave him my number and said if he ever wants to sell it to call me. pj called him 2 years ago and he said he would sell it for 3500. too steep i guess so we sat on it. now mike sees it listed for 2 grand. we discussed it and me, mike, and the ovcc boys were gonna split it and save this one. cool plan, pj said he would pick it up and haul it to the airport where we could keep it for the time being. so i called him. he said he remembered me but too late, he sold it yesterday! they are picking it up this weekend and already paid him cash for it. i thought oh well, at least someones getting it......... then he told me they were scrappers. i was so mad and sad at the same time i just about hung up. he said we could prolly buy it off them that will never happen as theres 2 grand alone in copper in the thing. the thing that really gets me is this is one of the last hudson coal co. mine motors in existance and he is allowing it to go to scrappers. sad, really sad.

No chance in saving it? Is it still there?

Any way that we could offer the buyers a little more for it? I would throw some money in to save it.

yea, we..... (john k).... talked to the scrappers. dont know whats gonna happen at this point. think he got himself into more than he bargained for, because he cant move it so we'll see. trouble is he wants alot more than he paid for it..... typical. dont know. he has our number.
