Chris,

Why in the world are you doing this when rubber-tired "LHD's" are sooo much more economical and flexible?

Fred, this is a preservation railroad, I believe. they are using it to run the restored equipment that they have found and fixed.

Fred, thats why I gave it to mike. We don't need it any more. We're converting the whitcomb to rubber tires and turning the brake wheel into a steering wheel.

Chris,

Oh, I see, I thought *YOU* were doing this therefore my tongue-in-cheek question. You say that you "gave" it to Mike. Do you have a mine then, or, where did you get the stuff? Maybe that's a trade secret.

Regards,
Fred M. Cain

Johnr, you have some competition!

Seriously though, what are you going to do with the rail once it has been relaid?

Chris, you could finally drive the Whitcomb down here and double head it with the TUG!

It looks like a track-mobile that has had its rail wheels removed, and was then put on some SERIOUS steroids.

I don't know about this. No steel wheels, no foam! :?

This would be more my speed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEQ_JkwzYBI
