Who's going to Railfest Sunday? We might, if you're gonna be there say so here. Plan is to go to the Italian Festival later.

I wish I was, Amy's class reunion is Saturday. A lot of stuff that was listed to be at foamfest has been taken off. Looking sorta slim this year. Despite the WOP Party being upda block which we love, I'm leaning more toward going to the NYS Fair. Went today, took the nieces. Great time as always. If you want to join us, let me know. Call my cell or PM me here. If you come up here I'll drive the rest of the way. We are staying for The Turtles, their show is a riot.

Well, can't. I forget, is Steamtown connected to another railroad? I can't recall. What locos will be there?

Jesus himself is unwilling to answer that question Dave, all the stuff they had listed as coming pulled out sans a couple diesels they have every year from the railroads they are connected to. Reading, Lehigh Valley, the Nazi Southern is sending a display car and a road slug, maybe a few more diesels and a caboose. Amtrak backed out and the Reading steamer dropped off the roster. So I guess I am not planning o going. They have an F-7 A-B-A set there, beautiful. But no guarantee it'll even be out let alone running.

Darn. I wish that there were more there. Doesn't Steamtown have a K4s? I thought that the one that was at Horseshoe Curve was there to be restored. As a sidenote, the NS (Great name for them, Johnr, by the way) has said that if a group of people want to get the 611 running again, it would host it. In my mind the 611 could easily beat the Mallard's speed record. It was said that the top speed of a J class was the nerves of the engineer.

Rob said reading's steamer is there. Steamtown has no steam of their own right now, but they're fairly certain their 060 will be running by spring/summer '14. They have an RS3 doing the yard shuttle, an F7 doing caboose rides, and speeders giving rides. At this late hour I still don't know if I'm doing a second day at the state fair or foamfest. Foamfest means Italian festival afterwards and a visit to my grandparents. We have tickets to the fair though, and that means the Turtles, Gary Lewis, and Paul revere and the Raiders. And Dinosaur BBQ. Guess it depends what time I can get out of bed.
