Does anyone know where I can find a list of names of the victims? Fatalities? On my dad's side, my great-grandfather Vincint Radici (Radice, possibly, and might be Vincenzo) was killed in the mines. He lived just blocks from there and walked to work "just down the hill." Mom and I are trying to piece this together since dad is gone. They visited my great-grandmother's grave years ago and he wasn't buried there. Since Baltimore had a mass grave, he may be buried there if in fact he was killed in that disaster. The time frame is about right. But there were also 500+ fatalities state wide that year in da minez.

Holy crap! Thanks, Scott! His name is not on either list, so we now know it wasn't the Baltimore after all. Could have been killed in that mine, just not in that disaster. Thanks a million for that name list! I couldn't find one, didn't have more than maybe an hour to put into it either.

I wish you luck John. I know how tedious the family research can be.
In 5th grade, we were doing a Civil War thing, so my mother brought in some letters from an ancestor of mine on her side, who fought for the Union Army. (Ironically, I have relatives on BOTH sides of the conflict.) Of course the question "Did he die?" came up. My teacher said, "Now you think about that. If he died, would Dave be sitting here now?" I wanted to do a little research into our family history, and boy, was it hard!
