when I was watching this story on good morning america this morning, they were showing pictures of the miners coming out of the cage. One thing I noticed was that it looks like they are all wearing coon lamps, I didn't see a wheat head.

I guess the good thing about this is that it wasn't an actual cave-in that trapped the miners, it was damage to the main elevator. Noone was hurt, just you couldn't get in or out of the mine via this cage. it is amazing how many people were down there though. It makes you wonder how bit this cage was for this mine. You need to be able to get people in and out of there quickly given the amount of people working down below the surface and the distance underground. Amazing..

Sooo Greg.... I think the hard rock boys should start planning another trip.. I know you guys were thinking England, but it sounds like theres a lot of cool [active and i'm sure inactive]] stuff in South Africa. :wink:
