Here are some good pictures of "ore" cars!

A train of older wooden "Ore" cars from the Hibernia Underground Railroad

Here is a more modern Ore Car from the Beach Glen mine. This one is made of Iron and steel. This is a swivel style car which will dump on either side.

A portion of an ore car left at the Beach Glenn mine.. Still there today.

An ore car inside of the Sterling Hill Zinc Mine. Simular to the Beach Glen style. Common in hard rock mines. Also a swivel style ore car.

Another ore car, this one from the Mt Hope Mine. A larger, but one side only dumping ore car.

For those who don't know. Just to contrast, here is an example of a much larger MINE car in an anthracite coal mine:

I would have to say that the newer steel ore cars from Mount Hope are larger than the mine cars from most of the Anthracite mines we have been too including that one. However generally the ore cars from iron mines are smaller than most of the mine cars used in anthracite mines. Because Magnetite is MUCH heavier than Anthracite, the cars are constructed differently. Wooden ore cars are smaller than the steel ore cars.

Another major difference between ore cars vs mine cars is that Anthracite mines generally have lower ceilings. Therefore the Mine Cars are wide but not always as high.
