Unless you have a 24" ga mine floating around. We changed it from 30" to 24"ga. That was no easy project. We started from nothing on that one. Picked up in early 2008 & finished her up June 2009.

wow, by the way hows that vulcan motor you guys got ? i havent heard anything about that one in awhile

We decided to leave the Vulcan true Anty style and just change the ga from 44" to 36". That one just has to much character fro a paint job to ruin it.

Look what floated into the motor barn at #9 recently. 24" gauge track and steam engine parts. I think it needs an electric backup.

Thanks guys ...Banks you like that handle huh? Good eye. We are actually missing the top handle of the controller so we had to put a little anty touch to it. At the coal show only one guy recogonized what it was from. We took a Bridgeport Milling machine knee crank handle and modified it hahaha. We were pressed for time and looks better then a missing handle.

The Mancha looks a little too new but we didn't have a choice since everything was missing & had to be fabricated with new steel. Give it a few years I am sure it will start to weather in Cool

What? You holding out on me? Post 'em I say. I was fortunate that the new owner of the Mancha ex-Chollar Mine was a real nice guy and he sent me a raft of pics BUT ya can never have enough pictures.
What has amazed me, is the varations that this little machine went through, it seems that every part was improved upon and applied as they went. I for one would like to know more about the history of the machines and production numbers so if you ever get time to put that stuff up...go ahead, make my day!

You guys started with nothing on that! That looks fantastic. I've been eyeing one about 8 hours North of here in Canada. Has the battery box and looks like most everything else. May even still be operable. I'd like to upgrade my outdoor trains to a bigger gauge.
