High Ledge Mine

(...continued) During its sporatic operation, it is known that the ore was roasted onsite and it was likely shipped to docks along the Morris Canal. An adit was driven to connect underground with one of the inclined shafts and probably served both drainage and haulage purposes. In all, the High Ledge Mine is reported to have produced a modest 2,000 tons of ore throughout its history.
