Sterling Hill Mine

The Sterling or Sterling Hill Mine, is a historic zinc mine now open to the public for tours. The mine, which operated commercially from 1848 to 1986, was one of the most important and the last underground mine to operate in New Jersey. All visitors to IronMiners are encouraged to experience firsthand a guided tour into this beautifully preserved mine and educational museum of mining and minerals.

Please visit www.sterlinghill.org for information on tours. Mine researcher Miner Mike may just be your tour guide.
